For prenatal testing, if the mother is suffereing from a high-risk medical condition, an NST test may be done a couple times a week to assure the health of your baby.
NST: Non-Stress Test
Monitors are placed on the mothers stomach to record the baby's heartbeat and contractions. This test gives the health care provider information abnout the baby's health and how the stress of movement affects the baby.
